What is YQCA:
Youth for the Quality Care of Animals, or YQCA, is for all youth who want to sell a market animal, dairy basket, or show animals at the Wisconsin State Fair. YQCA is an annual process. Certifications expire at the end of September for the current year, so for the youth to intend to participate next year in any of the qualifying activities, they need to do one of two things: attend an in-person YQCA session or take the course online.
Pre-registration is required for in-person sessions. This can be done at https://yqcaprogram.org/. If you are having trouble registering or getting your certificate, please email help@yqcaprogram.org. They are quick and helpful!
Is there a Cost?
In-person sessions cost $3 per youth participant. Online costs $12 per youth participant.
Upcoming In-Person Sessions:
I offer 2 in-person sessions each year between January and March. I have one scheduled for January 3rd from 9-10 at the Trempealeau County Government Center. Pre-registration is required for this session. A second session will be coming out soon.
If you have not registered for a YQCA session before, please make a profile for the children who are attending.
I completed the session. What do I do with my certificate?
Certificates have to be submitted to the Trempealeau County Auction Committee by July 1st. Please use TrempCAC@outlook.com.
