New Family Kits will be available for pickup before the start of the 4-H Year. This kit includes a New Family Handbook and a Pocket Guide to a Meeting. These are great resources for new members or a good reminder for current ones.
The New Family Handbook walks families through the 4-H year. It has information about everything from terminology, different clubs in the county, and what different activities and events are available. This guide is meant for members in their first 3 years of the program.
Pocket Guide to A Meeting can help members understand what is happening during the business meeting. Using parliamentary procedure is challenging if you are not familiar with it. This guide is meant to help decode a typical meeting agenda and help members make a motion or create an amendment. Meetings are all about repetition, but it is hard to understand where to start when you do not understand what is happening.
Each club leader will be getting these starting this week. They can be picked up at the office or can be shipped. Let me know what works best for your club.
