March secretary’s report:
Catherine Kampa called the meeting to order at 12:03 Pm on March 9, 2025. Pledges
were led by Angie Bambnek, and Mindy Ward. Roll call was done by Halle in place of President
Katelyn Hodgen. The question was “what are you most excited for this summer”. Halle
announced March birthdays (Brycen Halderson, Emily Young, Catherine Kampa, Sophia
Kampa, and Madison Grotjahn) and the project sang happy birthday. Secretary, Halle
Fitzmaurice read the secretary’s report, Carter Grotjahn approved this, and Halle Fitzmaurice
seconded this. Treasurer Madison Grotjahn read the treasurer’s report, Carter Grotjahn approved
this, Paizlee Hart seconded this.
Old business: Horse ID forms are due to Becky April 1, 2025 these where printed
and set out for the march meeting. There will be some spring clinics and Becky will send out
information about those clinics. Horse camp is coming up and the camp committee is finalizing
the schedule along with clinicians. Angie Bambenek will be the on duty nurse at horse camp
meaning she will be responsible for the youths medications at horse camp. Remember February
and March bronco bux are due!
New business: For the upcoming speed shows we are going to have a concession stand
open. Becky will be sending out a sign up sheet for families to sign up to bring food we can sell,
anything not signed up for we will ask for Ettrick eagles to donate. The funds made from this
will go to the horse project. Reminder to work on your sponsorships there is a $50 minimum if
you get this in before camp you get a discount on your horse camp fees. The person with the
highest sponsorship amount gets a carnival wristband, $5 off at the food stand, 2 free shake
tickets, free admission to a night of choice in the grandstands. There are also incentives for the
other two people with the highest sponsorship. Camp reservation forms for the fair are out, so get
those mailed in ASAP it is first come first serve. Reminder sign up for Chiropractic, Farrier,
Massage, Vaccine and Coggins this will be at the next meeting. T-Shirt designs were due at the
march meeting to Becky, a link to vote for the T-shirt design will be sent out by Becky. Becky
has been superintendent for eight years and has committed to getting the current sophomores
through their graduation year following that she will reevaluate her role as superintendent.
