Trempealeau County Horse Project Meeting Minutes

Catherine Kampa called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm on May 4, 2025. Pledges were led by
Natalie Nelson and Annalise Ausen. The Role Call was done by Vice President Katelyn
Hogden, the question was “What is the most exciting thing that has happened to you since the
last meeting?” The Secretary’s Report was read by Katelyn Hogden, Carter Grotjahn approved
this, and Brycen Halderson seconded this. President Catherine Kampa read the Treasurer’s
Report, Jon Young approved this, and Brycen Halderson seconded this. Old Business: Reminder
to sign up for the craft at horse camp, camp starts at 10 am on June 12, the agenda and stall
assignments will be sent out on Jun 1. You may switch your stall assignments after they have
been sent out. The stall assignments will be a test run for the fair, and the drill team will be close to
each other. Committee Updates, the first speed show is on May 27, Ettrick Eagles will be doing
concessions for every night except for the first on. Drill Team, there are team pictures on
Saturday, May 10, and there will be practice after pictures. They will start weekly practices on
Wednesdays at 6 pm in June. Pleasure Ranch Show, gate help, registration help, and
announcer assistant needed; the drill team will be doing concessions. Make sure you turn in April
Bronco Bux by May 10, 2025. New Business: Announcer’s Stand, cabinets will be going in
Soon, Young Family will be doing the renovations to be able to serve concessions, there will be
a microwave donated by Hogden Family, a Refrigerator donated by Malizewski Dairy, a Ceiling Fan
and water heater donated by Bambanek Family. There will also be new lights put around the
outside of the announcer’s stand. Practice Arena, working on getting a quote to put sand in the
arena to make it more usable. All members have their needed meetings to show at the fair. If
you are not showing at the fair but still want to participate in Bronco Bux, you need to go to two
meetings, get $50 in sponsorships, and get your work hours in. Senior buckles will be awarded
to members who are two years active. The group decided that we would put out mulch at the
beginning of horse camp. The meeting was adjourned at 1:31 pm Carter Grotjahn motioned to
adjourn the meeting, and Brycen Halderson seconded the motion.
