State and National Educational Experiences Calendar

Has your 4-H’er wanted to go on an educational experience, and you just didn’t know when to sign up? Each fall, the state sends out a list of the educational experiences happening, the sign-up deadlines, and when payments are due. This is a great resource for families and can help members figure out when they want to attend an educational experience, but also when to sign up.

The calendar includes a wide variety of opportunities—from Arts Camp for grades 6–8 in October, to Space Camp in Alabama for grades 6–8 in April, and even Citizenship Washington Focus for high schoolers in March. Each listing includes the grade eligibilitylocationcost, and registration window, making it easier for families to plan. For example, Fall Forum (October 31–November 2) is open to grades 7–12 and adult volunteers, with registration running September 3–26 and costs ranging from $65 to $185 depending on attendance type.

This list also includes the cost of the experience! Scholarships are available for members through the Parents and Leaders Association, but also through the state. If you want to learn more, feel free to contact Andrea.

And don’t worry—registration reminders are already included in our program calendar, so you’ll know when it’s time to sign up!
