National 4-H Artificial Intelligence Challenge

How can you use AI to solve problems in agriculture?

On October 1, National 4-H, in partnership with Google, introduced the 4-H AI Challenge. The challenge is open to youth in two age categories: Level 1: Ages 13 – 15 and Level 2: Ages 16 – 18. Youth work in small teams with an adult advisor to develop novel solutions to agricultural issues in their community. Projects will be submitted through ProjectBoard and must be entered by November 15, 2025. Resources, including instructions, FAQs, and the judging rubric, are found on the Challenge website. Projects will be judged on a national level with cash prizes for first, second, and third place.

Questions about the Challenge can be sent to Dr. Mark Light at North Carolina A&T or Alexa Groff at Iowa State University.
