Parents and Leaders Association Winter Activity

The Parents and Leaders Association hosts a winter activity every year, and in the past, it was a skiing and tubing party. Each year, the Parents and Leaders Association hosts a fun winter activity for our 4-H families. In the past, this has been a skiing and tubing party at Bruce Mound. However, in recent years, unpredictable snowfall and snowmaking conditions have made it challenging to ensure the hills are open.

This year, we’re excited to try something new! Trempealeau County is fortunate to have a Curling Club located in Centerville, and we’d love to plan an outing there. Curling is a unique winter sport played on ice where teams slide large granite stones toward a target area, using brooms to sweep the ice and guide the stone’s path. It’s fun, social, and easy for beginners to learn!
