What’s New with the Sign up Sheet

There are a few updates to the foodstand schedule this year to help improve coverage and make shifts easier for families.

New age column:
There is now a column to list each participant’s age. Please be sure to complete this when signing up.

All shifts are now 2 hours long.
In the past, it has been a challenge to fill some evening shifts—especially on busy days like Friday and Saturday. Shorter shifts should better fit into family schedules and make coverage easier.

New “swing” shifts have been added.
These shifts help ensure there is always someone available to train new members. They also prevent an entire new shift from starting all at once.

Shift coverage expectations:
Most shifts will have at least 5 people scheduled. The exception is Friday and Saturday night shifts, which require our older youth and adult members to help cover these high-demand times.

How to Sign Up

The foodstand sign-up is completed online using a Google Sheet:

  • All shifts are first come, first served.
  • Do not remove someone from a shift if they have already signed up.

Please make sure you fill in all required information:

  • Name
  • Club
  • Age
  • Cell phone number

Providing your phone number is important in case the foodstand manager needs to contact you or send a reminder during the fair.

Important Dates

Online sign-up opens: June 23 at 8:00 a.m.
Watch for an email with the sign-up link.

Early sign-up opportunity:
If you have a specific shift in mind, you are welcome to attend the Parents and Leaders Meeting:

  • June 22 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Trempealeau County Government Center (Whitehall)

At the end of the meeting, members who attend in person will have the opportunity to sign up early.
This option is only available to those attending in person.

What Is This Fundraiser For?

The foodstand is a fundraiser for the Trempealeau County 4-H Parents and Leaders Association, which serves as the fiscal support organization for the 4-H program in our county.

Funds raised help:

  • Support educational experiences and trips
  • Provide financial assistance through funding requests
  • Enhance overall member opportunities and experiences

Members and clubs can submit funding requests to help offset program-related costs.
