Meeting Minutes from the February 2025 meeting

Catherine Kampa called the meeting to order at 12:05 pm on Feb 9, 2025. Pledges were led
by Regan Clatt and Cali Dunn. The Role Call was done by Vice President, Katelyn Hogden, the
question was “What are you most excited for this year?” The Secretary’s Report was read by
Katelyn Hogden and Sophia Kampa approved this, and Carter Grotjahn seconded this. Treasurer
Madison Grotjahn read the Treasurer’s Report, Carter Grotjahn approved this, and Brycen
Halderson seconded it. Old Business: Regan and Cali rode in the Whitehall Christmas parade
and Harper rode in the Ettrick Christmas parade, both went well overall. The drill team is practicing
on foot and will start their practices on horse in March. There was a reminder to turn in your
Bronco Bux for January. The idea was brought up for food sales at Speed Shows because a
few people have requested it and it will help raise money. Members liked that idea and we will
continue to talk about it in future meetings. New Business: There will be spring clinics that you
sign up for what you are interested in, sign-up sheets were provided or you can sign up using
the link on the Facebook page. Fundraiser options were introduced, the options brought up
were Roda, That’s My Pan or Candle Sales. These could count towards your scholarships.
Horse ID Sheets are due April 1 and can be done on paper or online. The Horse ID Sheets are
now one paper with all three horses on one sheet. Horse Camp Packets and Health Forms were
provided and need to be completed before Horse Camp otherwise there will be a late fee.
T-Shirt Designs are due by the next meeting. Becky proposed to renew the Wisconsin Horse
Council Membership, Sophia Kampa motioned to approve the renewal and Carter Grotjahn
seconded it. Becky suggested that families should sign up to bring food for meetings since they
are generally around lunchtime, Katelyn Hodgen was going to make a signup sheet. Fair
Board Members Joel and Sarah Halderson gave an update that they have switched Rodeo
companies and this year it will be Barrels and Bulls only. Anessa Pehler and her mom Christine
went to the NFR and they met Fallon Taylor and had her sign two extra shirts that were given to
randomly drawn names. The meeting was adjourned at 12:51 pm, Carter Grotjahn motioned to
adjourn the meeting and Brycen Halderson seconded the motion
