Trempealeau County Parents And Leaders
What are the Parents and Leaders?
The Trempealeau County 4-H Leader Association plays a crucial role in supporting our youth organization. This chartered association, comprised of dedicated 4-H volunteers and youth leaders, provides essential support to the local 4-H program. Their activities encompass significant fundraising endeavors, such as the annual Platt book sales and the fair food stand, which directly fund opportunities and experiences for our 4-H members. Additionally, the association facilitates supplemental recognition for both 4-H members and volunteers through awards and scholarships and contributes to the organization of county-wide 4-H programming.
The Trempealeau County 4-H Leader Association conducts an Annual Meeting on the fourth Monday of September. Regular meetings occur quarterly, specifically on the fourth Monday of March, June, September, and December. The association is governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of 12 members with an equal representation of 4-H volunteers and youth members. The officers, including the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, are elected annually.
Chartered under the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension in Trempealeau County, the Leader Association operates with accountability to the 4-H Program Educator. It is important to clarify that while the association is instrumental in financial support and program facilitation, it does not hold responsibility for the hiring or supervision of 4-H Program Educators or volunteers, nor does it make determinations regarding 4-H membership. The primary focus of the association is to support our youth members and ensure the financial stability of 4-H programs within Trempealeau County.
To secure funding or reimbursement for participation in 4-H activities and events, members can utilize the Trempealeau County 4-H Funding Request/Reimbursement Form.
